Salwars (also spelled shalwar) are a traditional type of pants worn by both women and men in South Asia. Salvars or shalvars are loose pajama-like trousers. The legs are wide at the top, and narrow at the bottom. It is part of an outfit known as the Salwar Qameez and is in fact the National Dress of Pakistan. It is adorned by both men and women due to its comfort and casual nature which gives the wearer greater freedom of movement.It is originated from Mongols and was once considered a Muslim Dress.
